Composed of Commercial Radio DJs Ah Jim and Ho Siu-kei (Chris), YEAHS will hold the YEAHS Near Perfection Concert 2025, presented by Commercial Radio Productions and Media Asia Entertainment, at Tung Po Hu Lee Ming Ching Gymnasium in June this year, after their last concert When We Were Wild Live in 2023. The duo will release their first album Nearly Perfect this year, featuring 10 songs crafted over the past two years. The concert will extend the theme of the album Nearly Perfect and offer 4 surprises for their fans, who are affectionately known as 'grandpas'. The surprises include 'Early Entry/Sound Check Party', allowing fans to participate in the sound check at 7:15 pm, watch the exclusive MINI MOVIE [YEAHS' One Day], and enjoy priority purchase of YEAHS' first limited-edition album. YEAHS will also break the mold by inviting fans to record a new song together on-site, embracing the spirit of rock 'n' roll and bringing their album closer to 'perfection'.
Ah Jim revealed the inspiration behind the album and concert: 'We (YEAHS) used to be very insistent on holding a concert every year, which caused us a lot of stress last year. Then we thought, 'nearly perfect' is good enough. Things don't have to be perfect, and we don't have to push ourselves so hard. Now we feel much more relaxed, and this 'Nearly Perfect' project was born. I hope everyone can let go of their obsession with perfection, especially for fellow Aquarians like me, who always ponder what perfection is. Just like how the moon on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month is considered the perfect and fullest moon; the moon on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month is pretty much the same." Ah Jim also teased that the concert will feature not only YEAHS' original songs but also his works from his WildChild days, songs he wrote for other artists like Lam Yat-fung, and collaborations with the band Locksmith, who will be the opening act.
Currently in Canada, Chris shared that every time they perform, they encounter hilarious 'nearly perfect' mishaps: 'Once, we performed at a beach concert during a typhoon. So, before the show, I wore a pair of flip-flops. But by the time we arrived at the venue, the sky had cleared up, and I completely forgot to change my shoes. I performed the entire show in flip-flops! Another time, when we were transiting in Canada on our way to a performance, Ah Jim spilled orange juice on my pants. It was minus ten degrees, and I would have frozen if not for the airport staff who helped me get my luggage so I could change my pants. I hope this concert will create more memorable experiences for us and our 'grandpas'.
